"Obviously we go wherever we both are." Though previously half-closed in relaxation, Victorya's purple eyes opened and looked at her brother with affection. "That's what's most important. We'll pick our seat, and there we'll stay."

"Once we own this damned continent, we can go wherever we please. No one with at least half a brain will bother us. Unless we're very unlucky, the governance of the pisspot place won't be our problem. So, at the end of all of this... Where do we want to go?"

Aelix's grin blossomed into a full-fledged beam under Victorya's hand, and he embraced her tightly.

"Okay, then," he mumbled into his sister's ear. "Marry me."

In the silence, one could hear the drop of a pin. She embraced her brother as tightly, resting her chin on the shoulder in front of her. Though Aelix could not see, Victorya's eyebrows arched higher than they had in quite some time.

"Are you serious?"

"I have to be." Aelix's voice sounded more urgent than it had in half a dozen sieges to date. "I don't want to marry some widow from the Vale, and I don't want you being shipped off to Dorne to bed with scorpions. Gods forbid Aegon tries to betroth you to a Stark. If we get married...we can have a life together. A castle. Children. And it can be forever. Nobody will be able to tell us no if we stick to the family traditions. So...yes. Marry me, Vic."

The silence stretched on again as Victorya tightened her embrace. The thoughts running through her head were almost audible, the diverging lines and reactions forcing her to think about every single one. Moments stretched into eternities before she finally pulled back just enough to look her brother in the eyes, staring inscrutably. Finally, she leaned in and kissed him.

"Yes." She said, her voice only just above a murmur. Her tone was soft and quiet, interrupted when she kissed him again before continuing. "Gladly. I would love to marry you."

Aelix fought hard to maintain his composure and half-succeeded, kissing his sister back with excitement that he couldn't disguise. It was a wonder he didn't reflexively tear up.

"Good," he replied, relieved, trying to sound stoic before they kissed again. "Okay. Good."
